Brain type info and suggestions

I’m new here but have read and reread Change Your Brain Change your Life and viewed the CDs.  I am ADD  classic but not hyperactive, sensitive to noise, smells, and touch, and self medicate to calm myself with comfort foods, so am also obese.  I am diagnosed with depression, mixed with anxiety according to the symptoms described in the book, and was on Wellbutrin until side effects were too much.  When I took the online questions test on this site the results the first time said Brain Type 2, but then I retook it a couple weeks later and now it says Brain Type 1 and results look much better than my reality, even though I answered with a lot of negative “very frequently” and was probably more honest than the first time around.  Does anyone know what the numbered brain types mean? They aren’t in the book.  I don’t remember what the brain type 2 results told me that first time and didn’t really understand it anyway.

Hello! Glad you are on our site and reaching out for clarity! I think you’re right that when you initially took the test it was probably more accurate as you say. If you go to the “Test My Brain” tab at the top of the page, scroll down to see the “Download My Complete Report” and you will see the recommendations for your brain type outlined clearly. Let us know if you have any questions about getting started with those. , which is outlined as the following:

lacorrigan: Thanks for being part of our community. Brain Type 2 is associated with ADD on this test.  Brain Type 1 is the balanced type and the goal for our users.

I had one brain type when I started and retook the WebNeuro Test the other day.  I was told I had a different brain type now.  But every time I log in, I still see my original brain type in front of me.  Does it update automatically or only after a time?

This has happened to me as well. what is the scoop?

on March 18, 2016

@Marmeder Is still happening to you now?

on March 31, 2016

Marmeder, I retook the self-assessment and that updated my brain type (although I still have not been able to download my report).  Apparenty WebNeuro does not update the brain type?  It also appears to be on a totally different 1-10 scale.  And I have no idea how the scale on WebNeuro relates to the brain type score.  Would love clarity on that!

It should update after each time you take it. Let us know if that is not the case.

Nope, not the case for me.  My diet and exercise plans as well as games and everything else are still set to my original brain type.

After being given the opportunity to choose a free 3 part-video series from a list offered by Amen University, my curiosity led me to look at ADD. Unfortunately..the 3rd video did not work.
From what I gathered from the 2 parts I was able to watch I could be Type 3 or Type 7 or even Limbic. To use your example of .. needing glasses, and I would agree with that prognosis…I have no idea..how to correctly fit those glasses for myself. It’s rather like asking a patient to go into the lab, select and grind lenses, try them on, and hope the prescription is correct! What’s my next move?

Hey Bree I sent you an email, let me know when you get. Thanks
