I have been taking Brain & Body Power Max for the last 10 months (Folate 4 mcg).
Serotonin Mood Support for more than a few months (Folate 400 mcg).
My most rescent blood panels show my level of Folate to be >100.0 (range 2.0 – 15.5 ng/ml)
My VA Primary Care MD has advised that I stop taking both B&B.P.M. (Neurovite Plus) & S.M.S.
Comments?

I have also been taking Betaine TMG & SAMe.  My VA Doc has questioned why I am taking Betaine which he understands as being a Hydrochloric Acid supplement.  Comments?

I would follow the direction of your doctor, and ask him/her what might be causing the high level of folate. You might also seek out the advise of an integrative physician for a consult to explore this further and revise your supplement protocol based on your whole health history and symptoms.

Betaine TMG, the brain supplement to enhance the use of SAMe by the body, is a different supplement than Betaine HCL, the latter being a digestive aid.

Was your cortisol test done with blood, urine, or saliva? There are saliva and urine tests that require samples several times per day, giving you more specific information on when cortisol levels are higher and lower in your body. If this pattern of cortisol is out of the natural rhythm, it can greatly impact symptoms of fatigue, mood, motivation, etc.

The cortisol test results are blood based.

And what time of day was the measurement of 10.2 ug/dL taken?  Normal cortisol values are dependent on the time of day. – Coach Zoe

Between 10 & 11 AM, after a 25 mile interstate freeway drive at 70 mph in moderate traffic.
I have been aware for some time that most of my life I have been struggling with a near terminal cortisol stress condition that began sometime between 3 & 4 years old.

Well, knowing your cortisol levels are on the low end of normal is a piece of the puzzle, but sounds like you already know you have chronic stress, so supporting yourself through all the means on this site is really important (nutrition, exercise, stress relief/management, sleep, hydration, etc.). You may consider speaking with an integrative physician or functional medicine practitioner for additional adrenal support. – Coach Zoe

I am in process with this strategy at the VA Cleveland.
