Is zeolite effective as a spray 3 times a day to eliminate/reduce heavy metals? I just read about it.Thanks!

I am not familiar with all of the different forms of zeolite minerals, but research shows some forms have significant detoxification properties. However, chelating heavy metals is a serious endeavor, and can have significant side effects. Therefore, I strongly recommend working with a healthcare practitioner who can monitor the pace of detoxification to lessen side effects and know when to speed up or slow down the process. Some people can become very ill when detoxing from heavy metals, and, though it may sound counterintuitive, depending on health history, age, and other factors, some patients may be encouraged to ‘leave’ metals where they are stored.

If I may add my story,

I personally used zeolite. I have had chronic tinnitus ever since. I believe  I used it improperly, mobilized the metals too soon, and didnt get them out fast enough. I can say for certain , zeolite improved my health temporarily, but I had a lot going on and had to stop it when the tinnitus got bad. Ive never heard of anyone else getting it. But do be careful, do source it clean, and do ask for guidance on using it.

My qualms with zeolite are it is a silica bonded to aluminum molecules. it is said the aluminum is “stable” and will not break down into the syystem. but aluminum is one cause of tinnitus. and I have not been right with that since using zeolite. i now take silica to ease the symptoms. its slowly going away, had it going on 2 years now.

as well; i may have got the tinnitus by mobilizing other metals. I inhaled a lot of very old paint dust due to a faulty mask for a few weeks on one job, risk of thallium and lead from the old paint layers. unfortunate.

Thanks so much!  I already have tinnitus, so this would not be a good idea for me!

Can you tell me more about silica and how you think it helps the tinnitus- question is to both to you and Coach Zoe. Thanks!

The research on beneficial nutritional interventions for tinnitus include vitamin B12 and antioxidants to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. I haven’t seen any specific research on other supplement interventions for tinnitus, but perhaps there may be anecdotal accounts of benefit elsewhere.  As an aside, acupuncture has also been found to be useful for reducing symptoms.

Interestingly, some research shows that comorbidity of tinnitus with depression is high but now screening for and treatment of anxiety disorders is recommended in moderate to severe tinnitus. Apparently, there is an overlap in the structural and functional brain circuitries involved, so the thought is that attendance to anxiety or depression could potentially improve subjective experience of tinnitus (Pattyn et al, 2015). Thought that was important to share. Best!
