Is there a place to keep our daily logs of meals, exercises, gratitude, weight, supplements and all the trackers we used to fill in? I really want to be able to keep those daily logs!!!!!!
Hello bflv2_04483, appreciate your feedback. All tracking is currently located in the My Daily Journal section of the dashboard. We are looking to add additional trackers in the next release and appreciate anyone’s feedback on what trackers are important to you.
Keep up the good work! Your program works.
Where is everyone? I don’t see any way to post our comments and have discussions like we used to!!!!
Miriam is here too> Very different format but nicely done I do miss the points for filling out the trackers.
Hello all, we are working on a points and reward system for the next release. In the meantime, please continue to track your progress in the My Daily Journal section.
Will there be an app for MyBrainFitLife?
Yes there is! Right now, the app is freely available to BFL members in the Apple App and Google Play stores. We are actively completing work to include every functionality except for the webneuro (desktop only) in the next release. We are working towards completing the app in the next 2 weeks.
If you had allowed us to test this site we could have helped you work out the bugs before you presented it, but you set up the test site in a pop-up window that was too small to maneuver in. Then, you ignored all messages (or at least mine) letting you know about the problem. I hope you will listen to us now so we can make this site worth the money we pay to use it.
Hi Sally4th, we value your feedback and will make sure the new site is practical and useful to you. We have gone to great lengths to improve the user interface and appreciate your feedback and sticking with us while we work on any kinks.
I don’t seem to find how to log my food, exercise, and check my score. Is that here somewhere? And no I don’t feel like I can check in with my BFL friends- is that still here?
And my photo disappeared. How do I update that?
Okay. Revised note:
I took my test and I’ve found my Daily log of 4 things. Faster and easier to update this. I see my score. I guess we’ll all get our test taken and get back on the forum soon. So that leaves my photo update, Please advise! thanks

And today 11.24.15 I have filled out my ‘Daily Journal’ and no matter what I do it says I have to do one more thing. lol . sounds about right in the scheme of my life, but it’s not registering that I have clicked all my Daily Journal pts. What’s up. And Where is my feedback?
Hello all, we are looking to re-implement an enhanced points and rewards system in a future release. In the meantime, feel free to retake the brain assessment and/or webneuro to see validation of your improvements!
found the community! using the new site is a little different and I could not get into the community forum yesterday – glad it is up and working now 🙂
Welcome back, everyone! This new BFLs awesome! i
Hello all! I’m brand new to this site and see that the last posting in this support area was on Nov 29th, 2015. “come on back!”…as I’d like some help!
Hello Tony..and all,
There is so much to this healthy brain program, I imagine it’s no surprise to those of you who have mastered the art of changing your brain and changing your life, it’s challenges…but as a new warrior…lordie!!…I am swimming in lack of organization!
Food…being the most confusing..or better put, the challenge..of stocking my kitchen….looms in my mind as..overwhelming.
Over the last week, I have been more aware of what I eat and I have purchased items like rainbow veggies, walnuts, fish. To be honest, I am starving, as I look in the freezer and cupboards, choosing not to eat what’s in them. I have also read many of the recipes…many of those ingredients, I don’t have. Changing my entire kitchen is also very costly…..and I have a house mate who is clueless about this program. To be more clear about my house mate…she is uninterested…at least, at the moment. So..my question is this….do you have…a beginners…guide, to stocking a kitchen in some organized manner, keeping in mind, the cost and how to begin to stock the most important items first. Being aware of what I need to eat has, at this point, only frustrated me….because, its pissing me off, that my kitchen doesn’t match my intention…and to be honest..I cannot afford to go out and spend $600 on ingredients..even if I could, I wouldn’t know what to do with these products.
I hear your pain. I had started a healthy eating program and tried to do exactly what you are doing now. What i found out for me was that diving that deep into a new eating program was way to overwhelming. I suggest that you do this a step at a time. Take the super high calorie, high sugar items off your eating habits. dont dump your entire cupboard. Dont starve yourself and dont give up everything you love or you will fail. I believe this transition, like any change we do in our lives should take some time. If you have some stuff thats not great, can you find a way to only eat smaller amounts of that item and larger amounts of healthier items?
I had a very unhealthy eater in my home that kept bringing in the junk. That makes it harder on us because the temptation is always there. I asked them to keep their donuts, cookies and candy in their room. That way I did not see them everyday.
I do know that drinking a lot of water helps. I do know that getting high Fiber helps you fill up faster and less hungry. Dont beat yourself up when you waiver… its ok to be human. Purchase healthy snack items like baby carrots, celery, baby bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, etc so you have simple low calorie snack items. Just try 1 meal a day. Plan ahead with ingredients so you wont be stressed and purchase what you need for that. You can substitute ingredients so you can afford the meal. Go to the library and get some healthy cook books. The Happy herbivore is one that will give substitutions for grains and the like. there is another great cook book and once I can recall the name I will post it. Health food stores are a great local resource for your needs. They can teach you a lot. There are on line cooking classes that are free as well.
Slow down, relax, give yourself permission to work on this slowly and you will get there over time.
Sounds like you have gotten some great advice already, but I’ll add to Rksue1’s suggestions to address your hunger, which is really important to figure out so you will be more likely to stick with a new way of eating, so let’s see if we can help with that!
In the beginning it’s a bit of work to make an appropriate shopping list for your new foods, but writing out what meals you are planning for the week can make this easier. And when you cut out the processed foods, sugars, and other “junk”, you will be cutting costs immediately, and the amount you do spend on healthy foods is an investment in your long term health, saving you a lot of expense in the future! If you need more personalized nutrition coaching and meal planning, make an appointment with us! We love to help folks make this transition to a new way of eating for optimal health!
I agree that it can be overwhelming at first- to make these changes all at once is too much. I am still working on changing things… I also have a junkfood junkie husband who does not want to change. Its a struggle, but just keep your intention in mind. Your intention is to be healthy and feel better and this is what keeps you going.
thank you all for the feedback which i sorely need. ok..soo, after writing my first message this morning, I found Tana Amen and Dr. Hyman on U-tube…grocery tour and 10-day detox. I picked out 2 recipes….a smoothie and a salad. I can do that! Of course, my focus must remain on me….but my housemate happens to be my best friend of 45 years…and suffers from huge belly fat, inflammation, and lately, snores so loud I hear her from my own bedroom…in fact, waking me up, therefore i have to wake her up and roll her over. (omg) …and she’s a sugar, flour junkie! So..as I get my own act together, I also have her in mind. ..the idea being…just make a meal or smoothie or some snack for myself…and offer her some. BTW…we are like mutt and jeff…I am 110 5’6, no belly fat..not a junk food eater…but, without the education about food that I’m learning in here, and she’s about 145, 5’5…with a huge belly. .so while i worry about my own health, I also worry about her’s…since we promised each other we’d grow real old together.
ok so…i am going to go into territory I might regret….but i trust this site..and the people who are here. The honest truth is…..I smoke 2 packs of cig’s every day and i drink…when i get home from work…some days..a little..other days….until my brain is numb. I “reach” for stress relievers..every day.
and while it’s not easy for me to ….be transparent…i have decided…go real or die…wondering
Do we no longer have the records of our old trackers? Is there a way to actually track things? This new checklist under the journal heading is not very useful. It is a “yes/no”, and does not have any room for nuance. I liked the old graphs for various emotional aspects, I could look at them and see if there were patterns.
I cannot tell what happens if I change my numbers under “Know My Numbers”. There does not seem to be a place to put in things like weight loss, etc. If I cannot track anything, or see a history of my moods, exercise, etc., this website is of little use to me. I can get a lot of this information anywhere, being able to personalize the site was the big draw. I was hoping that the upgraded site would allow me to see previous weeks’ workouts, or allow me to fill in workouts for the previous Saturday on Sunday or Monday. Instead, I seem to have lost all records and the functions most useful to me.
Is there a site tutorial somewhere??
Also: the bar that stays mid-screen as you scroll down a section? Annoying, and seems to serve no other purpose than blocking the view of the material on screen.
I agree that the trackers had a visible pattern over a weeks time and a months time, very encouraging or inspiring. I miss that for sure.
The sprawl of the real time forum, not separated into segments was a harder search for subjects, but it had a better feel for Community. At least we could have a photo section of who last /most posted so we could see each other like the old one. How bout that add on?
Tracking change was a most helpful part of the old site. I’m bummed about that too.
And the tutorial?
Hello, we are looking to re-implement additional trackers on our next major release. The community was consolidated into a member’s only forum with support from members and coaches alike in an easier to use and learn foundation. We appreciate your input and will take them into consideration as we look to continue to improve Brain Fit Life!
Hi, everyone! This is Chellenor, and I agree with all of you about the old site and the new one. I really miss the trackers because they helped me see patterns. With their help I was able to find some things I was eating in the evening that interfered with my sleep. My mood trackers showed the effects of things I was doing…such as getting TOO much exercise of different kinds. Yes, I said too much! Turns out you can overdo anything! I also hope our old forums are still available. There were some great discussions we had that I always went back to. I really miss the daily interaction we were able to have. We’ll be able to do that again when we learn how to use this new community page! We all need to tell our old names, since they aren’t carrying over yet.
I agree, The new system isn’t as easy to access as the old one. I am Teedle (the name in the old system), and I would love to share some things that I have learned. I do Holosync every day and started it two years ago because Dr. Amen strongly recommended it. It is an awesome form of meditation, and I find it to be brain changing.
Bill Harris who is the founder and director of Centerpointe Research Institute and the one who started Holosync, has a new book out entitled The New Science of Super Awareness and this book tells one all about Holosync. Basically, it causes whole brain functioning, and a year of doing Holosync meditation for an hour a day is equivalent to 8 years of Buddhist meditation practice of several hours a day. You can go online to www.centerpointe.com and get a free trial of Holosync. Best wishes. I am open to any other questions you may have. I use headphones as one tone goes in one ear, and a different tone in the other ear. One listens for an hour a day. It is very relaxing, lowers Cortisol levels, and helps increase one’s immune system.
