I am taking the Brain & Body Power Max supplements.  One packet in the morning after breakfast & one packet in the evening after dinner.  The evening supplements are giving me reflux issues.  Is there a better time to take second packet to avoid this from happening?  Should I try taking them after lunch?  Also, how do I know if I need the Max supplements versus the regular Brain & Body Power?  Thank you!!!

My “know your numbers” Labcorp Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy result came in at 56.1. I am currently taking Brain & Body Power which gives me 2000 IU of Vitamin D3 and am also taking a daily 5000 IU BrainMD tablet. Can I add an additional 5000 IU to optimize my Vitamin D3 numbers,  total 12000 IU per day? The BrainMD Vitamin D3 5000 are now softgels so I can’t use a pill cutter to reduce the size of the dose. Thanks!  Andy

Dr. Amen may speak to this further, but since you are starting at 56 you probably don’t need 12000 IU to increase to a more optimal number. After a few months on 7000 IU, make sure to  retest and see where your level is so you can find the maintenance dose. It takes a little bit of work to figure it out, but worth it for the benefit of being at an optimal level.
