Spore-based probiotics are a certain type of probiotic, so probiotic would be a more general term for bacteria that have a beneficial effect on the host (us!). – Coach Zoe

Are spore based better for your gut? Does it somehow work thru your system better/differently/more effectively?

With probiotics what is most important is taking a strain that is appropriate for your given situation, and that the probiotic can reach your gut in tact, without being degraded or destroyed in the stomach. Our probiotic formula has two strains that have been found through multiple research studies to have a positive effect on mood, and immune support. If you have a particular condition you are trying to treat, it is important to know which strains are shown to be beneficial for that condition. So, spore-based probiotics require a look at the strain just like any other probiotic in order to determine whether it will be beneficial for you. -Coach Zoe

So the strain you offer will not be degraded or destroyed in the stomach?

That is correct. You can see more information and a video explaining the science of ours here.
