So Very Tired

I am just starting all this. It is quite overwhelming, but in a more positive light than I normally use that word. I know eventually I will be gaining that vitality I’ve always longed for, but in the meantime, is there something specifically I can be doing to keep me from being so incredibly exhausted all. day. long? This almost seems to be just one more thing to do and keep track of, will it really give me the results as long as I endure to put in the effort it needs?

Welcome to our community.  Make sure to check your important numbers (under test my brain). If your thyroid or other numbers are low it can cause tiredness.  On Brain Fit Life fill out the journal daily and do The One Thing each day.  It should only take a few minutes.  Keep us posted on your progress.

That reminds me I still need to go get those numbers!  I have the order in at the clinic but got busy and forgot!!  Came to see this post because I am so very tired today.  Underscores how much I need my 8 hours sleep – getting at least 6 hours this week but that just is NOT ENOUGH.  I crave my caffeine like crazy in the afternoon.  Substituting green tea but I’d pay big bucks for an energy drink right now.  Other suggestions to help drag myself through these low energy slumps without going back to the old harm causing habits I’m used to?  Am praying and putting energy to my intention of being in bed for a solid 10 hours of sleep tonight – at least I will be in the right place for it!!  Thanks all!

Samantha – I meant to also welcome you and encourage you to be patient with your feeling of being overwhelmed.  I’ve really found that taking small baby steps help me – they are contagious – once I made one positive change (the one that spoke to my heart) – and I felt better – it was easier to add another change to the mix.  I know some people can tough it out and a quick BIG change is easier to handle.  I suppose I could do that if I had Oprah’s support staff – but I don’t.  Never give up and just take one thing at a time if that is more your style.  There is such hope in this program – you can change your brain for the better!
