On Thursday, 11/21, I MADE IT TO 50!!!

The 21st was my 50th birthday! I went to a place called Club West here in Buffalo, NY. It’s a social hangout place for mentally ill people. They also have peers there and counselors. It’s a wonderful place and I had a great time!  I sang Kareoke– Gloria Gainer’s “I Will Survive,” which I knew by heart and “I Believe I Can Fly” by R. Kelly. They also had a cake for me. I am so, so grateful for making it as far as I have. I’m doing a great job advocating for myself and a few people that day and the day before told me that they see that I am making progress.  They say I seem much better than I was when I came to the PROS program last year!  I am so proud of myself as I fight to love my brain!
