Nuts and seeds ok?

I am reading that nuts and seeds are high in PUFA’s and omega 6 oils. I don’t eat much meat due to not really liking it, but I have loved eating nuts and seeds for the Omega 3 values. HELP!

Nuts and seeds are wonderful to eat as part of a plant-based diet. PUFAs are polyunsaturated fatty acids–considered to be a heart healthy form of fat. Omega-6 oils are not “bad”, they just have to be eaten in balance with omega-3 fatty acids, which many of us may not eat enough of. Omega-3 rich foods are well known to include wild fish, but also hemp seeds, chia seeds, walnuts, soybeans, and seaweed. In addition to healthy fats, nuts and seeds are a great source of protein, and rich in many minerals. It is important, if possible, to eat them raw and keep them refrigerated for the best benefit, avoiding the risk of them going rancid during storage. Best!
