Nuts! Dr. A and Tana, so much information is out there on great ways to add nuts to your good plan for extra protein. Any ideas for proteins for us allergic to peanuts and tree nuts? Thank you!

Sure! There are many great protein sources to choose from including organic chicken, fish, eggs, seeds, hemp protein, chickpeas, and lentils. Sunflower butter is a great alternative for those with nut allergies, and seeds can be added to salads or sauteed vegetables for additional protein and healthy fat such as pumpkin or sunflower.  There are even high protein vegetables such as spinach, kale, artichokes, and mushrooms. Enjoy!
