Hello there. Yesterday I started week 6 of my personal brain warriors way. I have been eating loads more veggies and a little fruite, some meat, fish and eggs. I have been losing weight and have hardly any cravings. The main problem I have is that I am not feeling as good as I thought I would. I had imagined that I would be feeling more healthy and stronger, but the opposite is happening. I have been having stomache pains for the past ten days. Since friday I am having sore throat and sinus problems, a little bit of fever here and there. And today I am feeling sick all the time, like I have to throw up. I feel really disappointed, like nothing ever works for me and I worry that I am doing something wrong with what I am eating to cause all these problems. Has anyone else had health issues even though they were following the program? Does anyone have any ideas what I could do about this? I appreciate any advice or help. Thank you. Dani

Hi Dani-
Thank you for reaching out. Some shifts in digestion and energy can be initially part of detoxification from a more processed, higher sugar diet, but at six weeks it would be unusual to have those symptoms.

There are many possible reasons for your symptoms such as stress, allergy, illness, or an underlying medical condition like a virus. As you have had stomach pain for ten days, I would encourage you to see a physician as soon as you can. If nothing is found, I would recommend keeping a food journal for a week or so to see if you can illuminate any possible food triggers and note when you feel better or worse after a meal. If you need more personalized support, please consider making an appointment with one of our wellness coaches or nutritionists to dig a little deeper with you. Hope you feel better soon. Best! -Zoe

I have overreactions to change myself.  Have you considered or practicing mindfulness?  I have sensed it helps me with small inner steps to keep from overacting to the challenges of change.

Hello again.
@Coach_Zoe: I took your advice and went to a doctor. Unfortunately my doctor was away on holiday, so I had to go the a general practitioner. So I got some proton pump inhibitors and two days later had a adverse reaction to the meds. So I stopped taking them but the stomache pains didn’t come back again. So now I don’t really know what to think. But I am glad that I feel better again.
@Tom Brainey: I thanks for your input. At first I reacted badly to your suggestion, which should have told me that you were on to something 😉 Anyway eventually I was so frustrated with feeling bad that I got serious about killing ANTs and calming myself using EFT Tapping. It helped a lot and maybe that is part of why I feel better now.
