Any tips for mind storms and difficulties staying in the present/being stuck in head?

Thanks for your post. You might try the 5-4-3-2-1 mindfulness exercise to give you a respite from cycling thoughts by bringing you back to the present moment. It works like this:

In this very moment…
Find 5 things you can see
Find 4 things you can feel
Find 3 things you can hear
Find 2 things you can smell (or imagine smelling)
Find 1 thing you can taste (or imagine tasting)

Take your time with each one and fully explore the experience of all of these senses.

There are also many mindfulness audios on this site under “Feel Better Fast”. They can really help give you a break from ‘stuck’ thoughts. Additionally, if your thoughts are negative or anxious, try the Killing My ANTS exercise in the same tab. It can be very helpful as well.

Hope these help! Best!
