meditation and hypnosis audios

I have been doing the meditation and hypnosis audios and really enjoy them but I have found that I fall asleep during the audio. does it still work if I fall asleep and then wake up toward the end?

Yes, falling asleep is natural when beginning the practice of meditation. Over time, with consistent practice, many people will be able to stay awake more of the time, but in a deeply relaxed state. However, If you are chronically or acutely sleep deprived or in a highly stressed state, staying awake may be more difficult, as the need of absolute rest wins out. This is absolutely okay. You are getting a need met from the practice no matter whether you are awake or asleep. Best to you.

This is good to know. I would have never thought about asking this question. I found myself doing the same every time I listened to the audio.

I find myself doing this too. I have spent the last 2 years sleeping a lot due to so many years of chronic sleep loss. I am finally getting to the place I can listen, but not fall asleep, just stay very relaxed during the meditations. Thanks for asking the questions though, lets me know my instinct to rest/sleep is a good thing in this phase of my recovery.
