Hi, I am 63 and have upper back bulging disc from an operation where I was rolled improperly on there operating table back in 2017 and its been painful. It might be one of the factors of my brain fog and memory loss. I am brain type 1 and they recommend lifting weights twice a week and walking fast 45 minutes 4 times a week. I am unable to do that. Can u recommend some alternatives even if its just stretching as I’d like to follow the plan as close as possible. Thanks

Hello! Thanks for the post and for sharing your experience.

I would strongly encourage you to incorporate yoga and functional strength training into your routine as both will take your limitations/pain into strong consideration and work with your own body weight (or very light weights) to build strength instead of heavy lifting of some traditional forms of weight training. For cardiovascular health, consider low impact movements such as swimming, NIA, or tai-chi. I hope these help. Let us know how it goes!
