Gastro paresis and the BWW diet – Will they work together?

The results of an endoscopy were a little unsettling to me because they diagnosed me with gastro paresis. I was beginning to feel much better and don’t want to let go of my new way of life. It seems as if they want me to eat less vegetables and those should be very well cooked. Is there a happy medium? I have been following the BWW program and eating so much healthier. True, my stomach hasn’t always been real happy with the foods, but I was feeling better, finding a little more energy each day, able to tolerate vitamins for the first time in years, and even my memory was improving until the endoscopy. I am hoping it gets better again after the anesthesia finally leaves my body. Is there a way to work with both diets at the same time? It would be nice if I don’t lose any more ground while they figure out the treatment. The medicine frightens me, as well. I don’t like the idea of what it can do to my mind.

The happy medium is more cooked veggies that can help your gut get moving again.  I would try to do it as naturally as you can, but if need medicine to jump start things don’t feel bad about it.  Tana always says compared to what … make the best choices possible.

Then I will begin with the cooked vegetables and ask the doctor to let me go for awhile without taking the medicine. Thank you.
