It can certainly be eaten and used to sweeten the flavors of cooking. Medicinally, it has shown to have use in lowering blood sugar, as well as many other uses. Are you thinking of taking capsules of it or cooking with it? As with any herb in concentrated form, make sure you speak with your doctor or healthcare practitioner about adding it to your regimen, as your personal health history needs to be taken into account.
