Emotional healing

My 16 yr old son has a history of autism from vaccine injury.  Although I believe he’s miraculously cured physically, he now tests as ADD here and does have residual problems.  One of the issues that seems to have caused a lot of problems since he was young is that we as adoptive parents weren’t equipped to deal with his early bizarre behavior and made some mistakes.  My son has forgiven my husband for some less than ideal discipline, but definitely needs emotional healing to calm down emotionally and mature. Psychotherapy didn’t work.  He started Holosync, but soon said it only made him more upset about his lost friendship (which is a huge problem in him acting out now and is dangerously OCD).  We started CBD oil (no THC) and it does seem to at least partly help with mood but of course not healing the emotional wounds.  BTW, straight serotonin supp has always seemed to act negatively for him.  Any other suggestions to help him heal?

Sometimes in healing emotional pain, things do feel worse before they feel better. I would strongly encourage trying counseling again, and specifically EMDR or emotionally based therapy for long term emotional healing. You can contact a provider through your insurance company, or go to psychologytoday.com to find one near you.

I’ll check out the EMDR.  Thank you.
