Better Together

Depression, and anxiety are trying to swallow me whole.

I had surgery 2months ago where they did a partial hysterectomy. They found a borderline cyst. Not cancer but not benign. Good survival rates. It was caught very early. But after surgery I then got a terrible bacterial infection from the antibiotics. Now I’m in a deep hole. Though the infection seems to be gone, I am in a bad place.  And can’t stop feeling like I’m going to die.  Taking meds, exercising, counseling, meditation, went to naturopath who has me on good.  Vitamins and a healthy diet. I’m not seeing an end to these overwhelming feelings of panic , and depression. Please HELP!

Chianti2U:  I am very sorry to hear of your struggles.  Hysterectomies, even partial ones, leave many women feeling sad and anxious.  Make sure they check your hormones, which can be in shock after the surgery.  Also, make sure to take a probiotic and work the steps in the program.

I’m really glad you are reaching out. While you are working on improving the possible hormone imbalances and improving your gut health, I would suggest diaphragmatic breathing (breathing from your belly instead of just your chest)  for some more immediate anxiety relief.

When you are feeling anxious, place a hand gently on your belly near your belly button, and take 10 breaths that allow your belly to expand, pushing against your hand. This helps very quickly to lessen feelings of anxiety for most people.

Thank you both for your reply. I am 58 so though there may be some hormone involvement.i am already post menopausal. I think my main fear it that it will come back and I will die. So I guess death is my trigger right now. The post surgery infection was also a dangerous one. So I’m feeling old and so very mortal. It’s a blow!

Death is inevitable. Set your fears to God and give him that control because it is out of yours(ours). Set your focus on what you can do to get better!! 🙂 Your already on the right track, don’t give up. I will pray for you tonight for your well being.

Cancer and infection is no match for a healthy mind and body.  Get yourself as healthy as possible so that if that cancer tries to come back, you can just punch it right in the face.

Chianti, have you seen Ty Bollinger’s TRUTH ABOUT CANCER series?  It is full of hope.  If you get it, I recommend getting his latest series TRUTH ABOUT CANCER – GLOBAL QUEST because it is better organized.   There is lots of information and LOTS of hope.  Sometimes these series are available to watch free, online, for a week or so,  At the very least, go to the website: https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/ and subscribe to the free Weekly Digest.
