So many people dread the idea of going to a gym for exercise, and you don’t have to! Making exercise sustainable by being enjoyable, is the key to keeping up with it for a lifetime! There are so many ways to integrate movement into your life! Some of my favorites are:
- Hiking: I like to find beautiful, shaded trails with lots of steep hills to get my heart pumping!
- Dancing: Dance parties can happen spontaneously and get the whole family moving!
- Playing chase: The sprinting is a natural interval trainer!
- Swimming: Playing with the kids AND doing some laps is a great combo!
- Rowing/Kayaking: Meditative and quiet, great exercise for the arms and for calming the mind
- Trail Running: Built in hills for interval training, and fresh air!
