Covid and Vit.D

I am reading a LOT about how those with low Vit.D levels have a more severe reaction when they get Covid.

What is your take on whether this would be a good supplement to consider for everyone in relationship to Covid.

Yes, the correlation has been reported and is now widely accepted. Vitamin D is a key nutrient for our immune system to function properly, and unfortunately many of us have low or very low numbers since we are inside much of the day, and wear sunscreen when out. If you have had your levels tested and found to be low or even sub-optimal (optimal is 60-80 ng/dl), make sure you are supplementing. BrainMD has an easy to take 5K IU soft gel, so check out the ‘supplement my brain’ tab for more information.

Ideally, you should be retested after a few months to see if your levels are going up quickly enough. Some practitioners will suggest a very large initial dose to raise your levels and then a maintenance dose once you’re more in the target range.

Best!

Thanks..didn’t realize Brain MD had the Vit.K. Wouldn’t I only need 500 K2 if I take 5,000 Vit.D?

The BrainMD vitamin D doesn’t have K2. I read this post of yours first before your vitamin K question. 🙂

And yes, for 5K IU vitamin D, the standard vitamin K would be 500 mcg.
