Concussion help?

Updated on January 28, 2016 in Ask A Coach

I’ve had multiple concussions in my life and now I am thoroughly concerned.  CTE is gaining public attention and it definitely has my attention.  Is there anything I can do if I have injured my brain?  I know I can work at my numbers and all of the other help listed on this site, but can I actually work at healing the trauma my brain has experienced?  I am concerned and plain don’t have the money to afford a scan.

What can I do?

Hi ESilegren: Thank you for being part of our community.  Yes, there is a lot you can do.  We showed we could reverse brain trauma in our NFL players with a multiple mechanism approach.  It starts with being serious.  Taking WebNeuro on the site to get a baseline of your cognitive and emotional function is Important.  Optimize your important numbers, eat as we teach, and take the baseline supplements.  We also used hyperbaric oxygen therapy and neurofeedback for some of our patients.  Let us know how you do.

Here in Dallas, Sally Fryer a physical therapist is also seeing results using craniosacral techniques for post concussion syndromes.

Many of my patients have had good results with cranialsacral therapy too.

Okay, thank you so much for your reply!  I was so very concerned and seemed to find a lot about protecting my brain (which I now take very seriously) but this is after the fact…I had a wild lifestyle with horses, dirtbikes, and snowboarding.  Okay, I will take it seriously and will follow the plan.  Perhaps my tendency towards depression is linked to brain trauma.  I’ll see if I can find any physicians along your line here in Toronto (Canada). Thank you so much.
