Why do people take Collagen Powder? How much should a person take. I am extremely active and just found out I have arthritis in my knees, will that help? What else could help arthritis?

Yes, collagen may be helpful for joint pain for some people. You can use collagen powder in your protein smoothies or in coffee. Vital Proteins is one brand I’ve used, but there are many others like Ancient Nutrition. Arthritis may respond well to avoiding inflammatory foods like sugar, dairy, gluten, and nightshades (peppers, eggplant, tomato, potato, etc.) that cause inflammation in the joints. Avoiding any food allergies or sensitivities is also helpful. Use the “Feed My Brain” tab for ideas on anti-inflammatory meal ideas. Best!
