How do the Brain Type activities correlate with the results of the SPECT scan? Would there be a difference or would the results ‘mesh’?
Hello!
I think I answered this question of yours on another post you wrote, but in case you didn’t see that, or just to reiterate:
The SPECT scan results are very specific in their ability to show blood flow activity levels in different parts of the brain, which can highlight lower or higher activity, and can help to pinpoint which treatment plan would be most appropriate. As one example, the symptom of depression can show up as a result of reduced blood flow to the right temporal lobe, or increased blood flow to the thalamic system. The treatment plan for each is specific and can differ from one another in key ways. Your evaluation with the physician should tell you all about your SPECT results and what part (or parts) of the brain is involved in any of your symptoms.
The Brain Types give you a general idea of what areas of your brain are working well, and which need some attention. This is assessed through the initial questionnaire you took on this site to get your report. The SPECT scans are of course much more detailed and can elucidate a much more specific set of recommendations for you.
