Hi folks. I am a new to BrainFitLife. I have been a Luminosity user for some time. Lately I have noticed my scores are lower and I have difficulty keeping up with my former scores. I am brain type one, and I take Brain and Body. I moved from Seattle to Richland, about 5 hours from Seattle to be near family in January 2019. I have been going through many changes such as looking for a job, living with family when I am used to living alone, learning my way around, finding a church. Could the changes I am going through be an influence on my scores? I have been diligence making use of what BrainFitLife has to offer. I would appreciate any suggestions you have. Thanks for your time.

Absolutely, yes. Stress (good or bad) can be distracting and highly energy-consuming, making concentration and cognition slower for a period. And moving is one of the most stressful experiences we can have, even if it’s a happy move!

Be compassionate with yourself, and make time for mindfulness, stress-reducing activities, and grounding exercises (check out our great audio meditations). These can help us to slow down, lower anxiety, and improve brain function. There is great reason to be hopeful that after a period of transition, you will be able to improve your scores again.

Best!

Zoe
