Really important question! Many people avoid probiotics during antibiotic treatment, but when taken properly can significantly offset the side effects associated with antibiotic use. Probiotics should be taken a few hours separately from an antibiotic, so that the antibiotic does not kill off the beneficial bacteria along with the harmful. Specific strains are better for certain conditions than others, which is why you will see a variety of strains in a probiotic supplement. Our ProBrainBiotic has Lactobacillus helveticus R0052 which, among other benefits, has been specifically found to enhance immune function as well as prevent side effects from antibiotics. -Coach Zoe
