Maybe need medication?

I tested as a type 7. I have been on the program for one month, and although I am proud of my accomplishments, some days I don’t get exercise in, some days I don’t get all my supplements in, some days I’m not making good food choices and I haven’t been doing my meditations at all. I stay home with 3 young children and my husband is always mad at me for my “impulsive” spending. Most of what I buy are health products or things to help with organization. I just can’t seem to stay on track even though I have all of these wonderful tools. I have the Healing ADD e-book and there are a couple medications suggested for my type 7. Should I go to to the doctor and ask about these? I am trying SO hard to stay on track. I am wondering if the added medication will help me make better decisions and do the things I am supposed to do.  The hardest part is waking up in the morning. I’m just always tired and it is so much work to maintain all the extra things I have to do to function normally. (Yes I love when I do all the brain healthy recommendations and do not feel I need a medicine, but my maybe it would help me do the things I am supposed to be doing?). I’m tired of feeling like I am “Trying” all the time. Medicine needed?

It sounds like you are doing a lot of things well! I understand it can be overwhelming to try to do all the things required to take good care of ourselves, especially while juggling three kids and a household!  Certainly medication can be immensely helpful at times, and I would not hesitate to look at that as an option. If you are able to do so, meeting with a doctor at Amen Clinics to get the most comprehensive evaluation of what medications would be best for you. If you cannot do that, speak with a doctor you trust about what options would be best for you, as that may make the rest of your self-care regimen much easier to follow. There’s nothing wrong with using medications in an appropriate way, especially if it means we are able to take better care of ourselves with that help!
