Not understanding my brain type

It says I have brain type 1… Even though I deal with constant anxiety, insomnia, and mood instability. I have diagnosed Anxiety/depression and OCD. I don’t fit the description of Type 1 at all. When I first took the test before signing up, it said Type 15. I retook the test to make sure I was being as truthful as possible and my answers really didn’t change much.

What gives?

Hi Jackie, upon review, the answers you submitted correlate with Brain Type 1.  However, if you have general inquiries related to how you scored that result, feel free to discuss with our coaches in the Ask A Coach forum – http://portal.mybrainfitlife.com/new/forum/thread-category/ask-a-coach/.  Thank you!

Ok, thank you!  I was just making sure I wasn’t zigging when I should have zagged on the computer.

Hi there! Sounds confusing! I do think the state of mind we are in when we complete the initial brain type questionnaire determines how our answers fall, so you were smart to retake that. If it seems not to fit you, you might consider having a close friend or family member do it with you so that you get a little more objective view of some of your behaviors or personality traits. Type 1 is generally a very healthy brain with optimizing functioning being the primary goal. It sounds like with your symptoms that you are more in line with Type 15. Let us know if you retake it with a friend or family member and see what results you get then.

Where can I read a description of each brain type?

I found that the types are in the literature I purchased on Amazon.  I hope there is a place on here that  you can obtain.  I find the booklet that the group created is helpful in conjunction with the on line program.  They are inexpensive way to obtain more general data.

I started to obsess because the first time i took the test I scored a brain type 8. I slept last night and I only worked a few hours and I retook the test and scored a brain type 1. I think I am too subjective when I think I will have my husband do it.

I took the test yesterday and scored an 8. I then retook the test today and it says I am a 1 which I do not agree with at all. I wish I had not retaken the test because an 8 described me much better and I want to make sure I get the help I need that best corresponds to my score.

no one really seems to answer the questions here – such as the brain type questions

Lots of different postings, so I’m sorry this thread got missed somehow! Brain Type 8 shows a tendency towards restlessness, moodiness, getting stuck on negative thoughts, and having difficulty relaxing. Brain Type 1 is more of an optimal brain type, so we are all striving to be there.  Often the initial time we take the test is the best “raw” data for what our basic tendencies are, so I would use that as your starting point. If you need more help with guiding your personal plan, let us know!
