I’m identified as Brain Type 8 according to BrainMD, and I understand that my brain type benefits from a higher intake of complex carbohydrates. However, I am also prediabetic and need to manage my blood sugar levels, so I focus on low glycemic index (GI) complex carbs. Additionally, I’m very active and lift weights regularly. My current macronutrient goals are 40% protein, 30% carbs, and 30% fat.
Could you please advise on how I can effectively meet my complex carbohydrate needs to support my brain health while ensuring I reach my protein goals for muscle building? I want to maintain a balanced diet that supports both my physical activity and cognitive function without negatively impacting my blood sugar levels.
