I am recovering from recent removal of non cancerous brain tumor. After 3 weeks now in a bit of depression.   My eyes are slowly focusing, but are improving daily.  Its hard to go slow, when with to get better now.  What best can I practice to use my brain to heal my brain?

Thank you very much for reaching out. You are on a healing journey indeed. The best practices for brain healing and trauma recovery from surgery include plenty of nourishing foods (organic, whole foods, anti-inflammatory broths and spices, plenty of omega-3 fats–see our recipes here for ideas), supplements to support brain healing found in Brain and Body Power Max, plenty of rest and allowing yourself to move more slowly as an imperative act of healing. Our “do” culture can make that difficult at times, but remember that the slowing down, the rest, the time, IS the action, not a lack of action. Additional supports such as mediation, moderate movement and stretching, having people you enjoy and love around you, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy can also support healing.

The Brain Fit Life site is certainly a great place to start–we are very glad you are here! Please let us know how we can be of support to you.

Thank you Zoe very much.  Very encouraging and well said.  I looked up the supplement and am interested.  However, right now I am not to take any fish oil.  New drug taking is levetiracetam 500MG and that may be the reason for now.  Again appreciate the support.
