SPECT imaging report

A couple weeks ago I was able to get an appointment for a Brain SPECT imagery.

Now I received my report with its findings, but no further suggestions on what to do and how to improve my symptoms.

Are there any supplements and exercises or activities you can recommend based on the following findings?

Images of cerebral perfusion showed normal uptake in the cerebellum. However decreased perfusion was noted in the cerebral cortex involving the parietal occipital cortex and right temporal lobe. There is increased perfusion to the basal ganglia and thalami, as well mild increased perfusion to the posterior cingulate and medial temporal lobes and frontal lobes.

Hi Fitagainthor,

On your evaluation report, there should be a Physician Section that outlines all the recommendations based on your medical history, SPECT scan, and other testing performed. I am assuming you came to one of our clinics for this, is this correct?

Thx for the quick reply Zoe.

I live in Canada and through my doctor’s referral, after a long waiting period, got scheduled at the hospital (public health care) for a SPECT scan. The exam type(as per report): Tc-99m HMPAO (Ceretec) Brain Perfusion Study. I obtained a copy of the images on a CD, but the report did not come with any recommendations.

Regards,

Thor

Oh I see! When you joined Brain Fit Life, there is a personalized plan created for you that should help illuminate specific recommendations based on your assessment. Generally speaking based on the results you mentioned, eating a whole foods based diet (eliminating processed foods and sugar as much as possible) as well as including supplements such as Serotonin Mood Support and Brain and Memory Power Boost may offer additional support. Refer to your comprehensive report for specific brain games, exercises, and stress managing activities that can help as well. -Coach Zoe

The SPECT scan needs to be scheduled and completed at one of the several Amen Clinic Locations.  You will meet with a Licensed Psychiatrist after your History and Imaging to go over the result of your Scans.  A very comprehensive evaluation report is given to you, in which there are many recommendations suggested to follow in order to obtain and optimize your health.

THX Kristina, that would be the ideal condition to attend the Amen Clinic.

At this time I can’t afford (financially) attending one of the Amen Clinics in the USA. My current neurologist confirms the imagery as same results he obtained during my assessments with him. (Earlier, a previous neurologist I attended dismissed the SPECT scan as experimental…I have left that clinic and found a more comprehensive clinic since January of this year).
