Chicken with that six-spice blend.

I have a spice mix for veggies and other savory “stuff” — 2 teaspoons each of chipotle, smoked paprika, ginger, chili powder, coriander, garam masala, turmeric; 1 teaspoon each cumin and cinnamon and a pinch or so (1/8 – 1/4 teaspoon to taste) of cloves, cardamon and habanera chili. I shake them all together and use it for sauteed veggies, soups, etc.
I am going to try lamb chops this year. Â I know there is a recipe on the BFL app so I am going to give it a try.

Because I am currently on a vegan ketogenic diet, I eat no Hametz (Leaven) so Passover this year was a breeze — it was easier to get ready and I made the same foods I regularly do — sauteed (or roasted) non-root veggies (cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, red cabbage, broccoflower, and zucchini and lots of mushrooms!). Desserts are cakes made with stevia and almond or hazelnut and/or coconut flour — I made some with lemon rind and some with blueberries and some with cacao powder. I also make candies with cacao butter, stevia, cacao powder or lemon rind. I have a silicon mold. Breakfast is lots of nuts with shredded coconut and chia with sweet spices and stevia with coconut “milk” (either uncooked or cooked like cereal). My Mom isn’t vegan — I make her eggs and cranberries in coconut oil with monk fruit for breakfast and salad, sometimes with small amounts of grass fed beef or organic turkey. I use organic olive oil and coconut vinegar for dressing. She loves it.
I did get to spend time with friends in synagogue (I made it to synagogue all 4 holiday days — we don’t drive, so I got a lot of walking in — even more because I walked to other people’s houses for suppers each day, one friend lived even further than the synagogue — about a mile away. So Friday I got at least 10-12,000 steps (I count every other step sometimes when I walk and then multiply by 2 to get the total).Â
