NSAIDS have a negative effect on our gut health when used long term, which can affect our brain health since so many of our neurotransmitters (the chemical messengers of the brain) are created in the gut. Chronic use of antihistamines appears to have a relationship with increased rates of dementia, though research is ongoing.

Whenever possible, addressing the underlying cause of the need for either medication would be best, and if you do use them, do so with caution and sparingly.
