Is it okay to take brain supplements while on antidepressants? Id like to work toward a more  healthy brain, but Im worried about taking a supplement that may interfere with the antidepressants, wellbutrin and zoloft I am currently taking.

Great question! Please answer this one, Dr.Amen, since I see it was not answered. We need to know what other supplements may interfere with other meds too.Is there  a list we can refer to? Thanks!

I’m sorry this question was somehow missed! Serotonin Mood Support should not be taken with an antidepressant unless approved by your physician. There are resources available to health practitioners to search for supplement interaction with medications, and since your physician has your full health, history please let her/him know when you are considering adding or removing a supplement to your regimen. Best!

CORRECTION: Our chief supplement scientist finds no reason to omit Serotonin Mood Support from your supplement regimen, even if you are taking an anti-depressant. Current research does not support avoidance of the combination as previously believed. As always, make sure your physician knows of any supplements you are taking along with your medication. Best!
