Have sleep apnea.  started with a cpap but could not tolerate it so now I am using a mouth guard.  Am up at least 2 times a night but go right back to sleep but am very tired during the day and in fact, I am no ambition.  Any suggestions?  Thank you, Freddie2

I have many friends who has a cpap machine and when they started using it had the same issues you did.  I am sorry to say you are best off figuring out how to get comfortable with that machines as i assure you it will make a huge difference in your life for the positive. NOTHING replaces good quality sleep.

I have a deviated septum so this is why I am sleeping with a mouth guard made by our dentist. I an still in the trial stage.  My doctor today is increasing the amount of thyroid I am taking hoping this will help my lack of energy.  Thanks, Freddie2

Good to hear you are following up with the sleep and thyroid issues, as those are absolutely key to supporting healthy brains and bodies. In addition, follow the nutrition, exercise, and supplement advice on your brain health report. Also, address stress levels through social connections, meditation, and emotional support outlets (groups, counseling, etc.). All of these lifestyle factors are important in supporting deep, restorative sleep as well.

Hi Freddie,
I can’t agree more with Coach Zoe about following a positive nutrition, exercise and supplement regiment. What I would suggest is making sure you are exercising in the mornings prior to work at least for 40 mins, eating plenty of fruits and veggies per day and no meals or snacks after 7 pm, and use melatonin 1/2 hr. before you want to fall asleep.  I also suggest turning off all electronics an hour before you want to sleep and read a book.  These simple things play a huge role in assisting me with sleeping properly nightly.  I wish you luck

To fully treat symptoms of ADD, lifestyle factors like sound nutrition, restorative sleep, stress management, adequate exercise, and social connection are absolutely central in addition to medication. I would speak with one of our integrative health coaches or functional medicine physicians to make sure all of these areas are being addressed to support your whole health. – Coach Zoe
