I tend to have a hard time self-starting.  I make lists the night before and then I tend not to get started in time to get things going.  I guess it’s a form of procrastination?  Any pointers you might have to get me jump-started?  Thank you!

I sometimes struggle with the same condition.  I do not have advice for you, but I do offer my support.  I try to do at least ONE thing per day that makes me appear to be a grown up.  In other words, I take care of ONE responsibility a day even if I hate doing it.  also, I know, there are others struggling in the same manner I do and “we” carry on.  Be well!

I love your idea, Derrick!

Also, you may try the One Page Miracle exercise to help look at the ‘big picture’ of where you want to be in your life in the various categories it explores.  Keeping that in front of your mind can help to get you going with the small steps each day to get you there. There may also be the biological component of low energy/motivation. Be sure you are addressing that with whole foods nutrition, adequate sleep, hydration, exercise, and supplements. 🙂

I have learned so much, Coach Zoe, about how to better use my One Page Miracle from you–thanks!!  Having motivation each day is an on-going struggle, and there are days, I am better than others.  However, I march on–sometimes at a fast pace and other times quite slowly, yet I aim to travel forward.

Thank you so very much for the advice and thoughtful insight. I ended up finding the motivation tab after I sent my question. I have started accomplishing my one thing a day since I last posted and what an emotional boost I get! Thanks again!
