Hello, I am healing from a mild/moderate tbi (17 months ago I was injured). I notice when I am tired or stressed I have trouble finding words and or I get irritated easily and have trouble censoring my words. What can I do that can help me with more brain resilience and resource? I am already taking omega 3, vit d, serotonin mood support, daily brain exercises, work out 4-5x per week, sleep 7-9 hrs/ night, daily gratitude 5x / wk. any thoughts? Or it just takes time and training to heal?
Thank you

It sounds like you are doing so many good things for yourself, so congrats on taking charge of your healing. For brain trauma recovery, is important to pace yourself, and allow for much more time than you might have prior to your injury. Slow the pace of your day, your meals, and allow for more time between activities to let your brain and body rest. Regular, preventative stress management is very important. Do something every day, even if small, that is relaxing and rejuvenating to you. Keep that practice in place, even when you don’t feel like you need it. You will be building the resources for you to draw on when stress increases. You might try the meditation audios on this site as great relaxation tools. Best to you-Zoe
