Feeling optimistic about Day 1 of this new journey!
Im also beginning brain-fit life today November 21, 2016. I’m actually writing in the middle of the night. my sleep patterns aren’t the best. I quit my job last spring when my mom passed away was the wrong decision to make as I shouldn’t have made any major decision during that time while greiving. And work can provide one with both more people interactions and help to regulate their sleep wakefulness patterns as well.
that may well be true I am 58 now and not quite sure what work, serving or volunteer work to do now. am keeping pretty busy and tried to offer help at the local senior center but that didn’t seem to pan out felt like that was maybe God no to that. some dyas I feel as a single person a bit lonely and wonder how much i make a difference in people’s lives other days like hopefully today i feel well and optimistic looking at the glass half full instead. thanks for you reply Julie
hi Sally have you worked in the peace corps? it probably is a very fulfilling thing to do. Had a pretty productive day. feeling less down about things. since I’m just beginning here at brainfitlife program I worked on a few different things here today. gratitude and appreciation and ants and journaling were good exercises i did plus I got my dog to her dog park today and we took a longer walk later in the day and hosted my online recovery meeting today this morning. sill want to do some reading and bible study work before the day is through.
Hi, Julie – I always thought it would be rather wonderful to work in the Peace Corps. Still do. They have no age limit for their volunteers. They have a volunteer who is close to 90 years old. Or, maybe you could do a short-term missions trip? You are only 58. How old do you feel?
