Question about Sam E

My Husband is 58 years old.  He has joint & movement problems and also ADD.  He takes no medications for the ADD.  I recently got him to try the Sam E supplement.  He is super sensitive to medications and herbs and often has to reduce his dosage from the norm.  He said the Sam E gets him amped up and he’s wondering how the minimum dosage is decided upon and whether or not it is possible he may need less.  Is there any downside to splitting the supplement in half?

I would start with omega 3 fatty acids plus 200mg of SAMe and then consider raising it slowly.

The dose is up t 1600mg a day.  I start at 400mg and go up by 400mg every few days.

Does GABA have any side effects or interact with any medications?

Generally no, but always check with your doctor for possible interactions with your medications.
