Food Options

I am using Tana’s first cookbook to get started preparing nutritional meals.  I am using her Oat Pancake recipe every morning which mentions using agave syrup.  Is there something different you recommend now?  Also some of the recipes mention brown rice…is that OK?  One recipe called for Safflower Oil, but I tend to use Olive or Coconut Oil the most.  Just wondering about these 3 food products as information can change.
Thank you, Carla

Once you have gone through the complete removal of sugars for a period of time to clear the system of any cravings or blood sugar issues, you can use agave or pure maple syrup on occasion, but try not to have them more than a few times per week. And brown rice is okay 3-5 times per week unless you are on a low carbohydrate diet. Coconut oil or macadamia nut oil are generally best to cook with whenever possible. What brain type are you?

In April, I was Brain Type 11, then 2 months later Brain Type 5.
I thought someone mentioned agave being bad on your liver!??
I see you have amended your answer.  What does “too high in fructose”
do negatively???
Thank you, Carla

*should have written maple syrup or stevia, NOT agave, which is too high in fructose. Sorry about that!
